if i'm being honest, i should lead by saying that i've never been a huge fan of the whole tagging thing when it comes to blogs. however, i do understand the allure, power and subsequent popularity and i am honored to have received my first tagging.
kirdy has reached out and touched me here at my temporary housing on the east coast and dared me to post 6 weird things about myself. my only hesitation in doing so is that it will leave me with 6 fewer things to write about someday, since i always seem to lean on my own issues when i have some kind of block. but if someone out there thought i would hesistate for a minute in rising to the challenge...to you i say "p'shaw."
6 weird things.
1) i am a second generation game show car winner. my parents won a 1975 pontiac astre on 'the money maze'. i won a 1997 ford escort on 'idiot savants'.
2) i wrote a fan letter to a pre-triumph the insult comic dog robert smigel when i was in college and then told him about it when i worked with him before the grammys a few years back. we were both uncomfortable after i brought it up.
3) i once handed in a copy of peter gabriel's 'it is accomplished' from the passion soundtrack as a high school english class creative assignment and told the teacher i had recorded it "in my home studio". i got an unprecedented A++++.
4) i like to walk around my house with my socks half on my feet. like, pulled down over my heel, to the middle of my arch but still covering my toes.
5) i honestly believe that i owe my entire career to a sandy koufax dodgers jersey i wore when i was an intern at entertainment tonight that made me stand out among the other faceless recent graduates.
6) when i was a child i used to spend hours and hours recording audio of myself either pretending to be a radio dj, conducting interviews with my brother (and myself) as if i were mean gene okerlund...

...and he and i were a rogue's gallery of professional wrestlers, or forcing my brother and various friends to do improv comedy sketches.
and that's that.

I'm not a fan of tagging, either, truth be told. But I had a feeling your 6 weird things would be quirky and entertaining. I wasn't disappointed.
