Special Delivery!

as you would imagine, a thought provoking blog like this one inspires a wide range of emotion in its readers - and as we approach our second month and 1000th hit, i thought it might be a good time to dip into the old mailbag to see what a few of our more inspired fans have had to say.

yesterday we heard from "Anonymous", who resides somewhere in the great state of california. they read our desperate press release from a few weeks back somewhere out there on the web and surfed by just in time to read about one of my three year olds telling me he heard the word "doodies" on tv.

"dood! I can NOT believe you made a press release for this dribble."

well, "Anonymous", i can NOT believe it either. and i can NOT believe that you read that press release and actually followed through. kudos to you! thank you for your support, and you can look forward to plenty more of the heart-warming comic content you've come to expect here.

--------

my post on the book "pyongyang" and the revelation that the north korean press reports that leader kim jong-il had 11 holes-in-one during his very first round of golf inspired loyal reader ulathorne to send a note.

"sounds like LIES to me."

you know what, ulathorne? you may be right. you may very well be right. that is an awful lot of holes-in-one for a beginner. thanks for stopping by and i promise to keep on delivering the good stuff.

---------

finally, a note from "Anonymous" who makes his (or her) home in Pennsylvania. this particular reader was taken with the horrible dream i had on the same night i marked the 10th anniversary of my first date with my wife.

"that's a great story. you should be proud, you kike...signed, all your [terrible racist epithet often used by richard pryor before he decided not to use it any more in 1979] fans."
thanks for the compliment, "Anonymous". i didn't know that i had any fans! keep dropping by, and i'll do my best not to disappoint.
