good things for today:

- actually deciding to get started with this. let's see how long i can keep it up. let's see if anyone ever shows. at best, this is something that will allow me to do a little writing and keep a journal-style memoirish type thing going, which will come in mighty handy now that i can't seem to remember anything any more. at worst, it becomes an embarassment, i grow a moustache, pack up the family and head to the hills. win-win, i'd say.

- recently tracking down a couple of old friends, thaw and behrin. always fun to remember embarrassing drunken high school moments and stories where someone poops a pair of skidz in a macy's parking lot after 10 years or so, despite what society has conditioned us to believe.

- trader joe's meatballs. incredibly caloric, sure, but damn good for a bagged meat. (by the way, if i'm already reduced to pathetic raves about trying supermarket meatballs for the first time, this thing is already in trouble.)

- making up a story for jack and aaron about the time they went to the zoo and all the animals they wanted to see were replaced by chickens. not as good as the race to grandma's house story but better than the story of how rainbow cake was born.

bad things for today:

- think i'm getting sick. time to start huffing zycam.

- posting about trader joe's meatballs.

bad things for everyday:

- having man-tits

things i learned today:

- Pigmeat Markham's real name was Dewey Markham

- losing your sunglasses is very frustrating

- Haley Barbour is actually considered a possible Republican candidate in 2008.

things that made me laugh out loud today:

- isler bringing up schlank and wok 63. i suffered a terrible humiliation in the basement...he drank three toasted almonds on my dime.

- the thought of flack getting a call from lou ferrigno sometime this week.

things that scare me today:

- avian flu. would you think i was a wuss if i told you that i bought tamiflu online?
